Thanks to the dedicated efforts of Community Resource Person (CRP) Ms. Veero, Ganga's illness was detected early. During a routine household visit, Ms. Veero conducted a Rapid Diagnostic Test-RDT which confirmed Ganga's malaria infection. Without delay, she referred the patient to the nearest health facility, BHU Saeedpur, for timely treatment.
At the facility, Ganga received free malaria medication and appropriate medical care under the NRSP iCCM Program, supported by the District Health Office Badin. Within days of starting treatment, her condition improved significantly.
“I was very weak and had high fever for several days,” Ganga recalled. “After Ms. Veero tested me and guided me to the health center, I received free medicine and started feeling much better. I am truly thankful to her and to NRSP for their support.”
This success story reflects the impact of NRSP’s Integrated Community Case Management (iCCM) initiative, which empowers community workers like Ms. Veero to provide lifesaving malaria screening and referrals in remote villages.
Their continuous efforts ensure that vulnerable families have access to timely diagnosis and treatmentbringing health services closer to those who need them most.
Through such community-driven actions, NRSP and its partners are not only combating malaria but also building trust and awareness
 among
rural communitiesproving that early detection and collaboration can save lives.
